Ronnie Whelan is the Patron of the Myasthenia Gravis Association. He is well known as a former footballer for the Irish international team and for Liverpool FC.
Ronnie’s eldest daughter, Elizabeth, has MG and his family became involved with the MGA in 2005, when she was diagnosed with the condition. Ronnie helps the MGA with its ongoing public awareness and fundraising activities.
